How is the escrow account set up?
The intended parents fund an escrow account before the journey begins. All payments are made directly from this account according to the schedule in your contract. You never have to chase payments.
What if the pregnancy ends early?
Your contract specifies compensation for various scenarios. Generally, you receive prorated compensation based on how far along the pregnancy progressed, plus coverage for any medical procedures needed.
Do I get paid extra for twins?
Yes. Carrying multiples results in an additional $8,000 bonus due to the increased physical demands and medical monitoring required.
What about my regular job income?
Lost wages for all surrogacy-related appointments are fully reimbursable. You provide documentation of missed work, and compensation comes from the escrow account.
